Just then, Rachel walked in the door, carrying a few bags of groceries. "Hey, guys! Sorry I'm late. I had to pick up some stuff for dinner."

Emily smiled and stood up. "No worries, Rach. I was just catching up with your sister."

I shrugged. "It was fine. Just hanging out with Emily."

I nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I really like her. She's cool."

Rachel smiled at me. "How was your day?"

"Hey, what's up?" I asked, plopping down beside her on the couch.
